"To touch can be to give life", Michaelangelo

Touch, what would PCCHH be without touch.  It is foundational for most of our services.  We have the honor of experiencing deep human connection for hours a day, and sometimes can take for granted that there are millions of people who are in our world who are possibly deprived of touch.

I recently had a conversation with a friend about how they were experiencing a lack of touch in their lives, and so I started looking into what new research has been done about the benefits of touch in society. I found this interesting video that shows how deeply valuable touch is to our exhistance and our well-being, as well as how we are able to communicate emotions through a one second touch!

I would love to hear from you!  Are you being touched enough?  Hugged enough?  Experiencing human compassion and connection daily?  If not, how can you respectfully add more physical contact to your life to boost your well-being?  And, if you do increase the amount of daily communication through touch, how does this make a difference in your life?
