Call us

Hello all of you blog readers; I just recently passed my one year anniversary as a practicing Massage Therapist, and I was promptly awarded my PA state license.   Thank Yinz to all that have graced me with their trust in my first year of practice.  With that (trust) I have been able to grow and develop my skills.  As many of you know I am drawn to Myofascial work, and have been craving more knowledge in this field. Myofascial work is a specialized massage technique employed to treat a variety of chronic disorders in which the muscle tissue is stretched and manipulated to relieve tension in the fascia, the thin connective tissue that encases everything in our bodies, also referred to as the body stocking. The results are often immediate and can last for days or weeks especially if the recipient is proactive with self care. In my opinion the work feels like a three dimensional stretch of the body that comforts the physical and emotional restrictions.

During an epic trip to Moab, UT and various destinations in Colorado I learned of an Institute that offers the continuing education that would deepen my knowledge in this area.  It’s in Salt Lake City, and I am striving for a January 2012 enrollment date.  Pittsburgh has a real need for more Therapists that practice the Myofascial Release technique and my style has been met with great feedback. I look forward to offering it here at PCCHH as a Certified Alignment Specialist for as long as I reside in The ‘Burgh.  If you have any questions about my plans and/ or are interested in Myofascial body work please feel free to call and book a session with me at the Pittsburgh Center for Complementary Health and Healing (412)242-4220.
